Chapter 9 – The Grand Hall:

In The Grand Hall, Leon reunites with Ashley Graham inside the heart of Salazar’s Castle, but safety remains fleeting as cultists close in and traps surround them at every turn. Ashley is briefly playable as she navigates the Library, using stealth to evade living suits of armor and solve lantern-based puzzles that allow Leon to progress deeper into the fortress. Reunited once more, the duo works together to unlock pathways through the castle’s ornate halls, fending off Zealots and solving emblem puzzles tied to the castle’s twisted history. The chapter culminates with Leon venturing alone into the castle Maze, where vicious infected dogs ambush him among hedges and narrow paths. Chapter 9 leans heavily on atmosphere, puzzle-solving, and escort tension while reinforcing the castle’s oppressive, ritualistic control.

Chapter 10 – The Ballroom:

The Ballroom sees Leon pressing forward after separating from Ashley once again, descending into darker, more grotesque sections of the castle filled with bioweapon horrors. The chapter is defined by encounters with the terrifying Novistadors, near-invisible insectoid creatures that swarm Leon in tight corridors and open chambers, forcing careful movement and precision shooting. After navigating the ballroom and underground passages, Leon retrieves key items needed to reunite with Ashley, battling cultists and parasites that erupt violently from their hosts. The chapter escalates in intensity with the sudden appearance of Verdugo, Salazar’s silent and relentless enforcer, whose presence turns pursuit into survival horror. Chapter 10 closes with mounting dread as Leon realizes the castle’s true monstrosities are only beginning to reveal themselves.
