The Forgotten Feast That Explains Our Salvation

The celebration of the circumcision of Jesus emphasizes the fulfillment of the Old Covenant and the importance of the New Covenant. It highlights Jesus’ humanity, received entirely from Mary, and His shedding of blood, a precursor to His sacrifice on the cross. This feast affirms Jesus’ true humanity and challenges our understanding of our own dignity and worth.

Obedience to God’s will is a reflection of our dignity and His love for us. Like Mary, Joseph, and Jesus, we are called to accept and live according to our dignity by striving to do God’s will.
