Prophecy and Destruction of Tyre in Ezekiel 26.
Ezekiel 26 prophesies the judgment and destruction of Tyre, a proud Phoenician city known for its seafaring trade and colonies. God declares that many nations, led initially by Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, will come against Tyre, destroying its walls and towers. While Nebuchadnezzar breached the city, the complete destruction and scraping of its ruins into the sea awaited Alexander the Great, who built a causeway from the mainland to the island city using Tyre's stones and dust, fulfilling the prophecy. Tyre has never been rebuilt since, confirming the accuracy of this biblical prophecy. Sidon, Tyre's sister city, remains intact.
