I started looking at old maps of Bovey Tracey after a simple question on my channel, but what emerged wasn’t just history. These maps hold on to lanes that vanished, names that were quietly erased, and places where stories were never meant to follow the roads forward. Tracing the river, the mills, and the edges of town, this short piece explores how memory lingers in the landscape and how some stories stay rooted, even when the place itself is gone.
