I've been preparing myself to start a little businesses.
I like to learn new skills and be creative.
My values are conservative.
I have a "live and let live" mentality, generally speaking anyway.
But because I am all about keeping myself and things in good condition, I don't appreciate recklessness.
I get confronted by a lot of political statements online and I drop my two cents.
Unfortunately, too many people feel they have nothing to lose.
They're self-destructive, as they seem to feel that's the only power they have.
I'm a survivor of many crazy situations.
What's kept me going was having a goal and holding onto my values.

And just to clue you in, I'm not talking about getting over simple rejection.
I'm not just talking about loneliness.
I'm talking about isolation, harassment, being a financial prisoner for a good part of my life.
My idea is to prepare for opportunities.
To take advantage of opportunities to learn more.
I have a chance right now.
It's a window, and it's a short one.
Because time is limited.
Everything is a challenge, and so much is unknown to me.
The risk is great!
But not taking any chances guarantees failure.
So it's sink or swim.
It's courage under fire.

Now why should this matter to you?
You're not my child. We're strangers.
Well, I don't want to live in a world of petty and discouraged people.
I don't want to be petty and discouraged either.
I've made it this far, and I hope to do impressive things.
Frankly though, I'm completely overwhelmed by all this.
It reminds me of when I was a kid, looking at a blank piece of paper, wondering what to draw.
That's like taking on the creation of an entire person in a mirror.

Taking baby steps.
Not being too rigid, not expecting too much, and just giving myself up to play.
Play, become familiar with these things. Gain some understanding, develop some intuition. Then later, research, find some inspiring works others have created. Try to emulate their results. Develop theories and techniques. And just make all that a part of my day to day.
If you're also developing yourself this way, I encourage you.
I'm not your parent, we are strangers, but having the same goals we can inspire each other can't we?

I'll drop this too...
spirituality isn't ghosts and demons.
It is the spirit in which you live.
It's your intention and your actions.
It's how you give and receive in your life.
And you see everywhere the spirit in which people live and have lived.
You interact with it every day.
Be mindful of that.
What you do leaves something behind.
If you have a conscience, if you're aware of consequences, you can shape this world. You can have what's in your mind made real.
If you're feeling desperate, just look around you.
There are raw materials you can use to craft a solution.
You're not alone.
You have all the potential in the world.
If like me you feel overwhelmed, then understand as I do.
That's something to overcome.
No one can do it for you, though parents, friends, allies, can unburden you of the emotional stress.
They can help you understand and guide you.
But in the end, it's up to you.
As it is for me in my own life.
I hope this helps.
I can be petty as much as anyone else.
But I hope this reaches you with a sense of compassion.
I can't make this all work without people like you.
I need you to be happy, I need you to be productive, and I need you to care.
I just can't make you do that.
So, I show you it's possible.
Now it's time to be brave.

You inherit a world of possibilities only to give it away or lose it by default.
That's your choice.
