Whenever I buy a new phone, the first thing I always do is get a cover and screen protector for it. So, having just got an iPhone 17, the hunt was on for some protection for it. I may well replace it with something more elaborate later on, but from the first cases available, this set from 4youquality (what an idiotic name) seemed a good buy indeed for just £4.99, including free Prime shipping!

The set arrived attractively presented in a branded bag, inside of which was the uPhone case itself, together with two screen protectors with fitting kits, and a simple and rather unnecessary User Guide. Build quality all seems fine for the price. The screen protectors are described as being made from tempered glass, although they feel like plastic to me, and the case is made from clear, flexible plastic.

The screen protectors seem to be of decent quality and install in the normal way with a peel-off skin and aligning the sides of the protector to the screen. It fitted justas well as all the many others I have used.

The transparent case feels quite well made, it is harder and less flexible than it looks, and I would say it should offer a decent level of protection. There is a large opening on the rear for the camera housing bu this is protected with a 0.8mm ridge all around it to keep the lenses from scratching when the phone is laid flat. There are raised sections for all the camera buttons, which protects them but make operation a little less easy. There is a cutout for the camera control, which again makes using it a little more difficult. The four corners of the case have ‘airbags’ - tiny flush pockets - which offer additional impact protection. I would say the case offers decent protection against everyday impacts and minor falls.

The case lacks the magnetic band found in more expensive rivals, and so has to be removed before using the phone with a magnetic charger.

For less than £5 you get two decent quality but rather standard screen protectors and a reasonably attractive case that offers good protection for everyday use.
