Elden Ring Nightreign is set in a procedurally generated version of Limgrave, now named Limveld, the first open-world area of Elden Ring. While the game has a single-player mode, it is intended to be played cooperatively by teams of three players who collaborate over three in-game days to prepare for the final boss.

The Forsaken Hollows is a paid DLC expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign that launches on December 4, 2025. First revealed on November 11, 2025, it includes new Nightfarers, Nightlords, Expeditions, Enemies, minor Bosses, and more.

Deep of Night in Nightreign is a game mode that modifies expeditions with several mechanic changes, increasing its difficulty. In the Deep of Night, players cannot target a specific Nightlord at the end of the expedition, and all enemies encountered are significantly stronger, creating a much more challenging experience.

Elden Ring Nightreign is an upcoming 2025 roguelike action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is a spin-off to Elden Ring, using many of its features and gameplay elements, and focuses on roguelike and cooperative mechanics.
