Cassidy, haunted by her father's shark attack death off Madagascar, joins husband Gregg on a treasure dive in Thailand, captained by friend Daemon with other divers like couple Pierre and Itsara. Modern-day pirates led by sociopath Jordan hijack their boat for sunken drugs, forcing dives into great white-infested waters amid murders and chaos. Flashbacks show her grandfather Seamus, a marine biologist played by Richard Dreyfuss, teaching her to conquer fears, as she battles sharks, pirates, and trauma in this 90-minute R-rated action-horror.
