The Secret Garden

The 1993 film The Secret Garden, directed by Agnieszka Holland, follows Mary Lennox (Kate Maberly), a spoiled 10-year-old orphaned in India who is sent to live in her uncle’s gloomy Yorkshire manor. Neglected, she discovers a locked, neglected garden and, with her sickly cousin Colin (Heydon Prowse) and friend Dickon (Andrew Knott), restores it, bringing emotional healing to themselves and the household.
