I didn’t lose my ability to love.
I lost my innocence with it.

Before you, love felt light.
Carefree. Assumed.

After you, it became deliberate.
Reverent. Earned.

I no longer give my heart away thinking it will survive anything.
Now I protect it—because I know its value.

Some loves don’t shatter you.
They shape you into someone who understands that love isn’t easy…
it’s sacred.
