BURKINABE DEFEND HOMELAND AGAINST COUP PLOT

On the night between 3 and 4 January 2025, Burkinabé rushed to the streets of Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso to defend their country and their president from potential destabilisation. The Citizen's Nightwatch, a popular grassroots network that defends the country's Popular and Progressive Revolution, received a notification that a coup attempt was unfolding on the night of 3 January around 11pm. Many citizens of the country are thanking Commander Oumarou Yabré, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, for quickly foiling the plot.
