I spoke with the former vice president of Peru, Francisco Tudela, about the Western Hemisphere's insecurity and why it is not only appropriate that Donald Trump make trying to right the ship a priority. But why does Latin America seem to be anxious for us to do so?

We talked about Venezuela as a case in point and the challenges posed by the Chinese communist penetration of the hemisphere, along with those of Russia and Iran, and some promising signs in certain countries in the region that suggest that people are done with socialism and want a prosperous as well as secure future aligned with the United States, it seems.
