Article IX, Section 5 of the Idaho Constitution is a relic of the 19th century when anti-Catholic bigotry was at its peak. Now it's threatening all Christians in Idaho. As the U.S. Supreme Court continues to overturn decisions based on enforcing The Blaine Amendment due to violations of the First Amendment, it's clear that until it's repealed, state government agencies will be in court losing time and again if they try and apply this unconstitutional amendment. The only way to repeal this outdated section of our Constitution is to get it on the ballot for the People of Idaho to vote to repeal it. That begins with asking our elected Senators and Representatives to pass legislation to get it on the ballot.
