Single Mother | Chapter 25: The Cheating Wife

SCRIPT:
Sarah Foster exited her apartment, already tired of her daughter's bullshit.

Sarah then heard Mr. Gumm talking to himself next door.

"Oh my God, it smells like Vietnam in here! What the fuck was that fat boy doing on in here?!",
Mr. Gumm shouted angrily next door, cleaning out Ben's stuff from the apartment unit.

Sarah looked over and the front door open, as visible smog was exiting the apartment unit.

She could smell it. It reeked of weeks of nut busting.

She pinched her nose, before walking downstairs, all the while Mr. Gumm was still yelling.

"My eyelashes are burning off my fucking face in this bitch!", Sarah heard him yell.

Sarah ignored Mr. Gumm's yelling, as she made it to the bottom of the stairs.

It was there, she was passing by the Latino Family that resides downstairs in 1B.

Suddenly, there front door opened.

"Alright honey, I'm off", Abe Lopez was saying before seeing Sarah.

"Oh hey neighbor", he said while smiling.

Sarah felt bad for Abraham, since he had no idea that his own wife was cheating on him with their landlord.

"Hey Abe", Sarah responded while staring back at him.

Just then, Jesenia appeared behind Abe.

"Oh hello", Jesenia greeted.

Sarah didn't say hello to Jesenia, finding the adulterer a non-trustworthy person.

"Oh shoot, I gotta go. I don't want to make my boss mad", Abe said while looking down at his watch.

He then looked over at Jesenia and leaned in to kiss her goodbye.

She leaned back like last time, as she made a disgusted face when he kissed her on the cheek.

Abe then looked at Sarah.

"How about today. You want that ride?", Abe asked while smiling friendly.

Sarah no longer cared for Jesenia's feelings, but still felt too uncomfortable with Abe.

"No thanks, but I appreciate the offer", Sarah answered.

Abe nodded, before walking away.

Abe went to the parking lot, before entering his vehicle and driving away.

Sarah and Jesenia stood in a moment of awkward silence, before Jesenia looked at Sarah.

"I saw you peeking in my window", Jesenia suddenly said sternly, before scowling at Sarah.

Sarah looked at Jesenia surprised.

"Will you tell him?", Jesenia asked bluntly.

Sarah was quiet a moment.

"Tell who what?", Sarah asked.

"Don't act dumb. Tell Abe about what me and Harold do", Jesenia said.

"Harold?", Sarah thought.

"Harold must be Mr. Gumm's first name", Sarah realized.

Sarah just looked at Jesenia.

"Why shouldn't I tell him? He should know", Sarah said, emboldened.

Jesenia scowled deeper at Sarah.

"If you tell him, I'll make sure Harold kicks you and your son out onto the street", Jesenia threatened.

Sarah just stared at the enraged wife, realizing Jesenia was 100% serious.

"It's wrong what you're doing", Sarah said, attempting to reason with Jesenia's humanity.

Jesenia just scoffed.

"You try being married to that pussy. He's the softest man I've ever met. I need my needs met", Jesenia said, a little angry.

"Then just divorce him", Sarah suggested.

"Fuck that. He makes a decent living. As long as that remains, I'll keep using him", Jesenia said honestly.

Sarah just stared at Jesenia in disbelief.

"Look", Jesenia said while sighing, as she took a step closer to Sarah.

"We're neighbors. So let's be neighborly. You don't say anything to Abe, and I'll owe you a favor. I'll even make sure Harold focuses on having sex with me, instead of you", Jesenia offered in the form of a deal.

Sarah's eyes widened.

"How do you know me and Mr. Gumm...", Sarah was saying before Jesenia quickly interrupted.

"I heard Harold yell at you upstairs. When things went quiet, I knew he made you do something sexual. Whatever that thing is, ain't my business. But he did the same thing to me when I first got here. I learned to enjoy it, but yeah I know", Jesenia said.

Sarah stood in disbelief.

"Anyway, do we have a deal? We can be friends, or if you tell Abe, then you leave me no choice to be your enemy, and I promise you, you don't want that", Jesenia said.

Sarah paused for a moment.

"Friends sounds nice", Sarah answered.

Jesenia smiled.

"Good. So now that that's out the way, would you like to come in? I made some tea", Jesenia offered, now in a friendlier tone.

"I'm sorry, I can't, I have my first day of work today", Sarah said, now more relaxed that Jesenia wasn't against her.

"Oh that's right. Yesterday you went to your job interview. So you got the job, nice", Jesenia said to Sarah while smiling.

"Yeah, thanks", Sarah smiled back.

"Well I should be going. I don't want to be late", Sarah said.

"Gotcha. Well have a good day", Jesenia said, before turning around.

Just then,Jesenia stopped in place, before looking back at Sarah.

"Hey, if you ever want to, we can have a three way with Harold. I'm sure it will make the old bastard very happy", Jesenia offered.

Sarah was taken aback by the offer, and was genuinely surprised.

"Oh, no thanks, I'm good", Sarah answered quickly, wanting to never do something sexual with Mr. Gumm ever again.

Jesenia simply shrugged.

"If you change your mind, let me know. He has great stamina", Jesenia said while smirking.

"Alright, bye", Jesenia said before walking into her home, and closing the door.

"Bye", Sarah said right before the door was fully shut.

Sarah now just stood outside apartment 1B, pondering.

"What the hell, a 3 way?", Sarah thought to herself.

"No way I would ever do that", Sarah concluded, before walking away.

Sarah was now headed to the bus stop, where a familiar face was waiting for her.
