The Islamic dilemma

Premise 1: The Quran affirms the previous Scriptures (Torah and Gospel). The Quran repeatedly states that the Torah (given to Moses) and the Gospel/Injeel (given to Jesus) were divine revelations from God. Furthermore, it states that God’s words cannot be changed or corrupted.

"No one can change His words." (Surah 6:115, 18:27)

It commands Christians in Muhammad's time to judge by their own scriptures: "Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein." (Surah 5:47)

If Muhammad has doubts, he is told to ask those who read the scriptures before him (Surah 10:94).

Premise 2: The current Bible contradicts the Quran. The Bible that Christians possess today (and possessed during Muhammad’s time in the 7th century) teaches fundamental doctrines that the Quran explicitly denies—most notably, the deity of Christ and His death by crucifixion.
