BIOGRAPHY – HUGH McCARTHY

I retired as a Headteacher after 23 years of service in that role in Portadown, Northern Ireland. I also lectured in a post graduate leadership course at the University of Ulster. I served as a director on two of N. Ireland’s major education councils and was a ministerial appointment on one, the N.Ireland’s Curriculum and Exam Council. I am a member of Pandata and Collateral Global, my article in the first edition of their newsletter was edited by Jay Bhattacharya. I have over 50 years of experience in education.

My first article opposing school closures was published in June 2020 and my first presentation to one of my boards was in April 2020---and was followed by 10 more, often to a stoney silence.

I currently act as an advisor to individuals and groups of parents opposing the sexualisation agenda.

My Substack contains 85 externally published articles plus many interviews and presentations, all under the title of “What are we doing to our Children?”

I hold a Masters degree with Distinction in Education Financial Management, an honours degree in Chemistry and a BA in Public Administration.
