U.S. Exits UN Climate Initiatives; Strategic Adjustments Can Be Seen

President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order which withdraws the United States from 66 United Nations organizations and treaties, related to various humanitarian and climate linked initiatives, which came up in a recent review as ‘inconsistent with United States sovereignty and values’, per U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. In light of this news, it’s hard to ignore simultaneous announcements about local jurisdictions around the world, working with not only the World Economic Forum, by organizations like C40, the UN’s City2City(15 minute cities), and other non-profits that carry the goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030.

Funding sources from the United States federal government may have been cut, but let’s not forget how state and local governments tend to use federal funds, for various money laundering schemes(think Minnesota, as a recent example).
