Plot Summary
The story follows Lily Stevens (Ida Lupino), a world-weary singer hired by Jefty Robbins (Richard Widmark) to perform at his roadhouse. While Jefty is immediately smitten with her, Lily falls for his more steady manager and lifelong friend, Pete Morgan (Cornel Wilde).
