AMERICAN EMPIRE OR REPUBLIC?

The building of a new British Empire was never in the founding vision for America.
Why are we moving in that direction?

As was clearly ensconced in The Declaration of Independence: the Revolutionary War was fought to free the American Colonies from Imperial control by the British crown and end perceived abuses and usurpations without equal representation.

Since our founding, it is clear that America was meant to be a republic, based on constitutional rule of law and unalienable rights of individuals..............not an empire.

Can one man, no matter how focused and dedicated, stop the bleeding and cut out the cancer that is destroying America?

More importantly, how far is he willing to go to achieve his objectives? Recent military/police actions in Venezuela to blockade shipping and arrest Nicolas Maduro are being justified as necessary, but what are we doing when we talk about occupying and running a country larger than Texas with 26 million pissed off people, and why are we threatening to do the same to Columbia, Cuba, and Bolivia?

Moreover, Trump is still talking openly about annexing and/or buying Greenland from the Danes and incorporating significant parts of Canada as our 51st state.

Is he nuts......or is this just part of the Kabuki Theater that increasingly surrounds this President?

Is there a 3D chess match methodology to the madness that us mere mortals can't comprehend, or is he really so cheeky and filled with hubris that he's willing to play Russian roulette with our future?

I have supported President Trump in many things, but it is very difficult to understand, let alone justify, overt acts of Imperialism in direct contradiction to our historical constitutional mandate.

There are many dots that need to be connected to learn the truth, but first we must find the dots.
