That salute has a body count: Protest Battle, Knoxville, Tn.

I filmed this in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee this week. An anti-ICE protest started around Market Square and then moved along Gay Street, where the crowd paused for a while. During that moment, a person came out of a nearby bar and started doing performative hand gestures that were sexual in nature, then followed it with a Nazi style salute. This clip shows what happened as it unfolded on the street. Even though this is free speech, we do not condone this salute behavior. Period. Crude gestures are one thing. Saluting where the bar should slam shut.
