Hey everyone — it’s Leaflit! In this video I’m reacting to Asmongold’s “Hasan lost his mind.” where he debunks Hasan’s defense of the woman shot in Minneapolis during an ICE operation and pushes back against Hasan’s attacks on ICE and law enforcement.

This incident — where an ICE agent fatally shot a woman during an immigration enforcement operation — has sparked intense debate online. Federal officials, including Homeland Security, have said the officer fired in self-defense after the woman’s vehicle was allegedly used as a deadly threat against agents. Critics — including local leaders and some commentators — dispute that narrative or say the footage doesn’t clearly show intent to harm.

In the clip circulating online, Asmongold stands by the idea that when a law enforcement officer feels their life is genuinely threatened, they have to respond quickly and decisively to protect themselves and others — that’s self-defense. Hasan instead defended the woman and criticized ICE’s presence, which ignores the real danger officers can face and undermines support for public safety.

Here’s my take:

I’m supportive of Asmongold for defending law enforcement. Officers and federal agents are put into split-second situations where they must decide instantly whether a threat exists. If a vehicle is being used in a way that could seriously injure or kill someone, self-defense is a legitimate and legal response.

I’m critical of Hasan for his defense of the woman and attacks on ICE. Defending someone who appears to create danger for an officer — based on incomplete information — encourages hostility toward law enforcement and dismisses the risks officers face during enforcement operations. It’s reckless to attack ICE agents without acknowledging context or the possibility that they were acting to protect themselves and bystanders.

This event has ignited nationwide debate and controversy, including protests and conflicting narratives about what really happened. But before we rush to condemn law enforcement, we have to consider the dangerous realities officers face in the field and that, in many cases, self-defense is exactly what’s justified when lives are at risk.
