Jesus taught the kingdom of heaven was inside of us, Luke 17:21 . The Pharisees have taken the idea of Jesus and created a religion comprised of materialism, idolatry, and pagan celebrations. We are not following Jesus we are following our masters, which was exactly what Jesus was teaching people not to do.
