In this MINISFORUM UM790 Pro Mini PC review, I show how this system performs while running a Bitcoin node, an uncensored large language model, and additional applications at the same time. I also demonstrate how to install the uncensored version of Dolphin Llama 3 and how to set up Bitcoin Knots.

Setting up Bitcoin Knots and the uncensored version of Dolphin Llama 3 was a great learning experience for me, and this video is designed to help you do the same if you want to explore running your own AI and Bitcoin infrastructure.

I was very impressed with how the UM790 Pro handled running a large language model and a Bitcoin node simultaneously, even with other applications open. During my testing, nothing slowed down, and you can see that clearly in the video.

I installed Linux using Pop!_OS on this system, and everything is running smoothly.

This video is more than just a review of the UM790 Pro. If you follow everything I demonstrate, you will be far ahead of the average person when it comes to using AI locally and participating in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

I chose the Minisforum UM790 Pro because I wanted a system that could run Linux, handle a large language model, and operate a Bitcoin node without spending an extreme amount of money. The UM790 Pro has 64 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, which has been more than enough for what I am doing.

I also show how I use an external drive with this system to optimize storage and performance.

I am not a computer expert, but after using the UM790 Pro for more than six months, it has been working extremely well for me. I also own a Mac Mini M4, which is my favorite computer overall, but the Minisforum gave me significantly more RAM and storage for the price.
