DOJ Needs More Time In Richman Case, Can't Delete Classified Documents From Materials at Issue

DOJ handed back to Richman his original materials, and they filed a single forensic copy of those materials under seal in the EDVA, but there are these others forensic copies that the DOJ has and the judge instructed them to ALSO return those.

But there's a problem.

They cannot simply delete a classified document from a forensic copy. It's not technologically possible. That's the whole purpose of making a forensic copy-it can't be messed with. They can delete the entire copy, but not a single file from it.

So, DOJ is asking for more time, again, while they try and work with Richman on this problem and also comply with the judge's orders.
