Which religion is correct ?

I’ve always questioned why people place their faith in newer religions. If the goal is truth and understanding, wouldn’t it make more sense to go back as far as possible and study what the earliest civilizations believed? Modern religions didn’t appear in a vacuum—they are built on ancient beliefs, older religions, and long-standing ideas that existed thousands of years before them. To understand what we believe today, it seems only logical to examine the foundations they were built upon.
