In today’s update on Grant v. Higgins (25-566) — the Supreme Court assault-weapon challenge from gun rights groups — Connecticut has formally filed its Brief in Opposition to the petition for review. The brief argues that the Second Circuit’s decision upholding the state’s assault-weapon ban was correct and that the petition should be denied.
Connecticut’s brief claims the lower court correctly refused to enjoin the law — and insists there is no genuine circuit split to warrant Supreme Court review.
