I remember /when you used to be my sister's mate

Doing other drugs, light and dark, rotting at your brain

N I was doing them too, when others were away
Hiding in my room, with a spoon and an eighth
It wasn't long before it got dark, and the sky turned grey
And the rain pored down, and the light just fades

In the days when we used to drink booze and take drugs
The other day I heard that you're doing well

I worried bout that guy I'd been mates with him for some time

Years later I heard that Max was doing some time
Then I got told that he took his own life n passed in the night
I wondered how you were and what had happened to ya
If you were still on the drugs, the dark and the light 12
Spoke to Adam the other day, he said that you're fine
Got yourself into recovery and got off the white
And happy for ya mate, I'm glad that you changed
I hope things work out for you, I hope you're alright
