FUGUE, D-minor

Color Key:
red - subject
orange - answer (tonal) or re-entry with some kind of modification
teal - subject in melodic inversion or rhythmic displacements

There were 2 challenges I wanted to tackle with this fugue; first, I wanted the subject to be omnipresent, kinda like Bach's C-major fugue in book 1 (WTC), though, of course, his composition is an absolute masterpiece of interweaving melody, and what I have here is mere tinkering with notes. Second, I wanted to syncopate the subject. I think I accomplished both of those goals, but to the extent it is musical and artistic is up to you, the listener. And indeed, while the subject does work quite well in inversion, I delayed taking advantage of that fact until the very end.

Hope you like it! Thank you for listening!

[p.s. I am re-uploading this and several other fugues I have already finished in an attempt to get this channel to show up in searches; my previous channel wouldn't render any results here in Rumble or external search engines which, as you can imagine, is kinda frustrating, especially because I have forfeited all of the views I had generated, which, given my channel content, are highly prized and hard to come by.]
