Check Out

People can be so hurtful, so mean spirited, so condescending at times. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a day without any of that??! Check out! I do that, I just check out with God. Me, God and my golf clubs!

No cares in the world! Life would be so easy if it weren’t for people. Have you ever felt like you have had “enough” and you can’t take another thing, your heart can’t take another hit. I Lament… HUH… I share my hurt and pain with God. God is the safest person to share with because He listens well, He doesn’t judge by emotions, He hears and understands my pain. He has been there and done that. Humans! We are so disappointing at times. God comforts me like no other can and He doesn’t condemn me, in fact, there is NO condemnation in Christ Jesus. There is forgiveness, grace and mercy.

Sometimes when I need to “check out” I do my favorite thing. I play a round of golf. I love to play golf, it relaxes me. I love the outdoors, the sunshine, the challenge of the game. I love the inner quiet and the soothing of my soul by doing something I really love.

Jesus did that… He went off by Himself, several times to meet with His Father God, to “check out” from the humanity that was so discouraging at times. Human beings will never measure up, we are finite, but God, He is Infinite and I bet those conversations with His Father God were great, especially after hanging around us humans with our human condition that likes at times to serve no power higher than self.

Jesus set the right example. If you have had enough, if you are sick of humanity and all the ways they act like the devil at times, then get off alone with the Lord. You will be encouraged, loved, and set right back on that path with human beings, except you will have a new patient endurance, a new compassion, and lots of amazing wisdom to help you “grow through” human condition and all. God bless ya.
