Have you ever really thought about the things that make you FEEL like a bada$$ runner?

This is kind of important to consider.

Sometimes, these are the things that we avoid doing because they can cause discomfort.

For me, blazing down a technical trail was a skill that I was afraid of building for a long time.

I was afraid of getting hurt.

After gaining years of trail running experience, strengthening specific downhill muscles and improving stability, my confidence and trust in myself increased, allowing myself to just do the thing.

It became a fun and powerful, mood boosting activity.

I've learned that when I race ultras, my strength is in the hills and difficulty.

Prior to that, my strength was in my steady pacing on flat stretches of trail.

Think about these things for yourself and maybe write them down, so you remember.
