Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley were married in a secret SCIENTOLOGY ceremony in the Dominican Republic on May 26, 1994, just weeks after Lisa Marie finalized her divorce from her first husband. Their marriage lasted less than two years, ending in 1996.
Priscilla Presley's recent controversy revolves around her late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, and their experiences with the Church of Scientology, particularly its leader David Miscavige.
In her memoir Softly, As I Leave You, Priscilla reveals that Lisa Marie was terrified after confronting Miscavige at Scientology's headquarters in Florida. She believed she was being followed by black limousines, which Lisa Marie described to her mother as a common tactic by the church to intimidate members.
