My boss at a power plant had the cable break on his elevator. Another guy and I were waiting for the car with material. It was crash bang boom and eventually we got the doors open and helped him out- he was at about chest level to the floor. Elevators have brakes on them in case the cable breaks, and there’s the springs at the bottom. His car may have very likely hit the springs. We abandoned that project and went to another one.

I’ve come across some scary info regarding star link… It’s environmental. The satellites last about 5 years and when they “burn up” as they come down, there’s residue, there’s always residue when you burn something. Smoke, ashes, etc. with wood. Unfortunately, the residue from the satellites will eventually make it down to the ozone layer where they can destroy it. I came across that, long ago. I can offer much on this- it’s real spooky stuff- science know little to nothing about it, but some exploration has been done. It’s quantum mechanics or quantum physics. Rather depressing, I rejected it for a decade or more before I finally had to accept it.
