* First Amendment: Guarantees freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and the right to petition the government.

* Second Amendment: Protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

* Third Amendment: Prohibits the quartering of soldiers in private homes during peacetime without the owner’s consent.

* Fourth Amendment: Protects against unreasonable searches and seizures; requires warrants based on probable cause.

* Fifth Amendment: Ensures due process, protects against self-incrimination, double jeopardy, and guarantees just compensation for property taken for public use.

* Sixth Amendment: Guarantees the right to a speedy, public trial by an impartial jury, legal counsel, and the right to confront witnesses.

* Seventh Amendment: Preserves the right to a jury trial in civil cases where the value in controversy exceeds $20.

* Eighth Amendment: Prohibits excessive bail, excessive fines, and cruel and unusual punishment.

* Ninth Amendment: States that rights not explicitly listed in the Constitution are still retained by the people.

* Tenth Amendment: Declares that powers not delegated to the federal government by the Constitution, nor prohibited to the states, are reserved to the states or to the people.
