In the book of Matthew chapter 7, verse 24, Jesus likens people who hear his sayings and does them to a wise man, which built his house on a rock. So, according to Jesus, it is not enough to hear his words, but you must act on them. God supernaturally empowers us to be victorious in every new challenge that comes our way, because we are wise and built our life on the rock of Jesus Christ. Isaiah 28:16 records that the Lord has placed a tested stone in Zion that is safe to build on and whoever believes need never be shaken.
