There are many things we simply accept as it has always been. But throughout our short history on this planet there are, according to this 2024 article from thefactbase.com. There are seven thousand individual dialects spoken around the world today. For centuries in Europe the Catholic institution controlled the dialect of the biblical narrative, the Latin Vulgate. The original Pentateuch or Torah was in the dialect of Hebrew or the Semitic tongue. We also have the original dialect of the gospels and the letters written by the apostles in Koine or Hellenistic Greek.
