Emergency services were alerted to a major structure fire today on Temple Street, Brickfield, after a domestic yard fire spiraled out of control.
​THE DETAILS:
What began as a neighbor attempting to burn debris at the rear of a property quickly escalated due to dry conditions and high winds. The flames jumped the property line, engulfing and completely destroying a nearby abandoned house.
​COMMUNITY IMPACT:
Residents in the immediate area reported thick smoke and intense heat as the blaze threatened occupied homes. Firefighters arrived on the scene to contain the inferno and prevent further spread to neighboring structures. No injuries have been reported at this time.
