Experiencing mourning and joy during our visit to Jerusalem

During our November 2024 trip to Israel, we visited the powerful and significant Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem. The mourning gave way to joy as we walked through the open air market, the Mahane Yehuda Shuk on Friday afternoon as Sabbath preparations were underway.

This outreach, Shalom Israel, is part of the work of Sar Shalom Israel, a 501(c)(3) IRS-approved nonprofit ministry. On our 10-day charity trips, besides seeing some of the most important sites, we provide multiple opportunities to share the love of God with both Arab and Jewish communities by meeting practical needs and building bridges of care and compassion.
