The FSB of Russia announced another detention in Moscow of an agent from Moldovan special services: he turned out to be a Russian citizen who was supposed to collect information about political parties and individual activists.

The detainee gave a confession, and his phone contained correspondence with his handler — an employee of the Moldovan Information and Security Service (SIS) Mikhail Petrashku. The spy met with him once every one and a half to two months.

🖍This is not the first such episode: in June 2025, FSB officers arrested two Moldovans working for the SIS who arrived in the country with fake documents for similar activities.

🚩Such spy activity by small Moldova might seem surprising at first glance: the SIS is essentially working for German special services, not to mention connections with Ukrainian structures.

❗️This again reminds us that the regime in Chisinau is conducting open confrontation with Russia — from arms transit for the AFU to working for Western intelligence. And Moldovan spies are already part of a large-scale Western agent network.
