MIGRANTS IN LIBYA: AFRICAN GRAVES FOR PROFIT

In a horrifying discovery in southeast Libya, 200 African migrants, including women and children, were found held in a secret underground prison.

These survivors, mainly from Somalia and Eritrea, were being kept in subhuman conditions in Kufra - a place that has become a chilling center for human trafficking and mass death.

Just a week ago, 21 bodies were found in a mass grave, with survivors bearing the scars of brutal torture. This follows the discovery of 57 more bodies in Kufra last year.

East Libya is the stronghold of the Libyan National Army (LNA), a UAE-backed militia led by Khalifa Haftar.

While the LNA postures as a security force, the reality is a lucrative partnership with trafficking networks. In its attempts to gain legitimacy the LNA claims to curb migration into Europe, thus positioning itself as a frontier guard for Western interests.

Yet, behind the scenes, human trafficking has become a vital source of income for the militia.

This cycle of violence demonstrates a darker truth: how the systematic degradation of African lives serves as a lucrative utility for imperialist powers.

Whether it is the mercenary ambitions of Abu Dhabi or the gatekeeping of "Fortress Europe," the cost is paid in African dignity and blood.

As a result, these migrants are the collateral damage of a global system that treats the African body as a returnable commodity.
