Soul Loneliness

Are you lonely? Soul loneliness is really prevalent in our society in this season of time. This has to one of the most soul lonely generations in a very long time. Why? Busyness! We don’t have time to make for that personal touch of a phone call or a visit. Even when we are with people, we are not really with them. They are on their phones, watching reels and laughing t themselves.

We were created to be in relationship with each other. This generation has soul loneliness because we lean into emoji’s to express ourselves, we don’t talk, we don’t answer with words, we answer with an emoji.

Are you with someone right now? Put down your phone and talk to one another. We have to break out of our social media isolation and our busy, busy, life pattern and make time for each other.

Social Media can’t minister to the soul. It just can’t. An emoji is not an answer it doesn’t even come close to touching the soul of someone else. Get to know your family again, talk to them, spend time talking and sharing. Get to know your neighbor, talk to them, invite them to dinner. We have to break the isolation that causes soul loneliness. What about your schedule, could you pencil someone in for a phone call? Voice to Voice? We have way too much on our life plate and not enough personal contact with people and that is why soul loneliness is such a prevalent thing in our society. We need to change it up to be like what we were created to be, in relationship with God and each other. Let’s Do It. Call Someone. Visit Someone. Invite a neighbor for dinner.
