In August 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured the town of Sudzha in the Kursk region, near a gas pipeline. In March 2025, the Russian Army launched a large-scale offensive in the region. Soldiers crossed 15 kilometers through a 1.4-meter-diameter gas pipeline and reached the rear of the Ukrainian forces. How did the Russian Armed Forces manage to drive the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of Sudzha? How many days did Operation Potok last? How did the soldiers survive underground with dangerous methane gas, and what did they eat? We investigate in a special report on RTVI.
