Silpheed - Sega Saturday

Silpheed is a SEGA CD remake of an early PC-era vertical scrolling space shooter. A terrorist has hacked the mother computer of Earth and gained access to entire space weaponry of the Solar System! A squadron of Silpheed dogfighters are the only hope to defend the planet. The game eventually got a sequel on the PS2 titled Silpheed: The Lost Planet.
