CSV #65 The Mid-Term Elections is Tuesday November 3rd 2026.. Are You Registered to Vote.

Remember to register to Vote. Do not let anyone fool you saying that you can Vote after November 3rd.

The 2026 United States midterm elections are scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

These elections serve as a major referendum on President Donald Trump’s second term and will determine the composition of the 120th U.S. Congress.
Key Federal Contests

U.S. House of Representatives: All 435 voting seats are up for election. Democrats need a net gain of three seats to flip the chamber.

U.S. Senate: 35 seats are contested (33 Class 2 seats and 2 special elections in Florida and Ohio). Republicans currently hold a 53–47 majority; Democrats would need to gain four seats to take control.

Special Elections:
Florida: To fill the remaining two years of Marco Rubio’s term (now Secretary of State).
Ohio: To fill the remaining two years of J.D. Vance’s term (now Vice President).
State and Local Elections

Gubernatorial Races: 39 governorships (36 states and 3 territories) are on the ballot. Key open races due to term limits include Ohio, Georgia, and California.

State Legislatures: Thousands of seats across nearly every state are up for election, which will influence future redistricting efforts.

Redistricting and Map Changes
Mid-decade redistricting has altered the electoral landscape in several states:

New Maps Enacted: California (approved by voters to eliminate five Republican-leaning seats) and Missouri (redrawn to favor Republicans).

Legal Challenges: Maps in Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, and Utah have faced court orders or ongoing litigation regarding racial and partisan gerrymandering.
