Stan Lee's Stripperella is an adult animated superhero comedy series created by Stan Lee that aired on Spike TV from 2003 to 2004. The show centers on Erotica Jones, a popular dancer at the "TenderLoins" strip club who leads a double life as a high-tech secret agent and superhero.
Starring: Pamela Anderson provided the voice and served as the visual inspiration for the lead character.
Premise: As Stripperella, Erotica works for the global intelligence agency FUGG (the Federation of Ultra-Governmental Guys) under the command of Chief Stroganoff.
Abilities: Her "powers" are a mix of superhuman enhancements and parody gadgets, including:
Hairachute: Using her voluminous blonde hair as a functional parachute.
Lie-Detecting Breasts: The ability to sense if someone is lying if they are in contact with her chest.
Glass-Cutter Nipples: High-tech pasties that act as laser drills.
Superhuman Assets: Enhanced strength, reflexes, and "extreme hotness" that can literally cause objects to ignite.
Production and Cancellation
The series was part of Spike TV’s inaugural "Strip" adult animation block, which also featured The Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon. It ran for one season consisting of 13 episodes.
Legal Controversy: The show faced a lawsuit in 2003 from a former stripper named Janet Clover, who claimed she had pitched the "Stripperella" concept to Stan Lee during a private session.
Status: The show was canceled due to a combination of this legal dispute and creative differences. While a comic book tie-in was planned by Humanoids Publishing, it was never officially released.
