Are you ready for the spectacle of colors? Let’s go to the city of Esna to explore one of the last ancient Egyptian temples ever built and the last one decorated with hieroglyphs! Located around 60 km south of Luxor, the existing, ancient structure is currently situated in an enormous pit, almost 10 meters below the current city level. Its most known feature is the columns, which not only display beautiful and one-of-a-kind capitals, but are almost entirely covered, not with the offering scenes, but with religious texts.
