LOS SUEÑOS POLICE DEPARTMENT
METROPOLITAN SWAT DIVISION
AFTER ACTION REPORT — CHICO’S MEXICAN CUISINE
OPERATION: HUNGER STRIKE

Officers Duck and Wolf responded to an active armed suspect situation at Chico’s Mexican Cuisine. Officers approached from the side of the structure, where a van outside an exit was cleared, yielding recovered firearms and cash.

The team stacked on a side entrance. Officer Duck conducted a controlled door peek. Officer Wolf advised, “Ready when you are, sir.” Upon entry, both officers observed a suspect wearing a red shirt armed with a shotgun in the hallway. Recognizing the immediate lethal threat, both officers fired simultaneously. The suspect was struck multiple times and collapsed.

Additional gunfire erupted from deeper inside the structure. Officer Wolf sustained three ballistic impacts to his armor but remained combat effective. Officer Duck acknowledged the hits and maintained security.

From an exterior lean position near the doorway, Officer Duck utilized a .50 caliber handgun equipped with a laser aiming device to observe a second armed suspect firing from behind a doorway further down the hall. A civilian was partially visible near the suspect’s position. Officer Duck executed a precision shot, placing the round past the civilian’s hand and striking the armed suspect behind the doorframe. The suspect was neutralized. Verbal callout: “Got the last guy.”

Officer Duck later remarked on the difficulty of the shot, referencing the tight angle and hostage proximity.

Officers then made entry and continued clearing procedures. Evidence was secured, and all downed suspects were restrained to ensure scene safety.

RESULT:
✔ Multiple armed suspects neutralized
✔ Civilian unharmed
✔ Evidence recovered
