The Terror of a Tyrant

The most powerful man on earth is screaming. He has conquered the world, but he cannot conquer his own mind.
It is the second year of his reign. Nebuchadnezzar is the "King of Kings," yet he is sitting in his bed, sweating, shaking, and absolutely terrified. Why? Because God breached the walls of his mind while he slept.
In this episode of Bible Talk, we strip away the Sunday School version of Daniel 2 and look at the psychological horror of the King's nightmare.
We analyze:
The Hebrew Meaning: Why the word for "troubled" actually means a "violent shaking" or vibration (similar to Genesis 1).
The Timing: Why God waits until we feel "safe" to disrupt our peace.
The Demonic Court: Why the King ran to mediums and sorcerers to solve a problem sent by the Kingdom of Light.
The Theology of Anxiety: Is your anxiety an attack from the enemy, or is it God trying to wake you up?
We often pray for God to comfort our leaders. But sometimes, we need to pray for God to trouble them.
Scripture: Daniel 2:1-3 (CSB)
Reflection Questions:
1. Is there a recurring 'trouble' in your spirit that you have been ignoring? Stop running from it. Ask God what He is saying.
2. Why do we run to worldly experts (magicians/mediums/pysics) before we run to God? Do you check your horoscope or the stock market before you check your Bible?
3. Do you believe God is sovereign enough to invade the dreams of secular, evil leaders today? Does He still speak Stalin’s, Hitler’s, and Mussolini’s of the world?
