Hey everyone — it’s Leaflit! In today’s video I’m reacting to Decoy’s breakdown “They Blasted Another One…” about the recent immigration enforcement incident in Compton/Willowbrook, California where a federal agent opened fire during an operation after a criminal tried to evade arrest by weaponizing his car and ramming law enforcement vehicles.

Here’s what actually happened, according to official reports: DHS officers were conducting a targeted immigration enforcement action when a suspect — William Eduardo Moran Carballo, a man with a final order of removal and alleged involvement in human smuggling and prior violent offenses — “weaponized his vehicle and rammed law enforcement” while trying to evade arrest. A federal agent fired defensive shots; the suspect was not struck, was taken into custody, and a CBP officer was injured during the encounter.

Here’s how I see it:

This was a dangerous situation for law enforcement. The suspect didn’t just attempt to drive away — he used his car as a weapon against officers during a lawful operation. That’s a direct threat to public safety and to the agents on the scene. The agent’s response — firing in defense of himself and others — is exactly what training and protocol are designed for.

I’m critical of mainstream media coverage that leaves out key facts. Too many headlines get streamlined down to “Federal agent fires” without mentioning why shots were fired — that the suspect rammed officers’ vehicles and made an active choice to endanger lives. That kind of omission doesn’t inform viewers — it misleads them.

I’m also critical of folks on the left and online commentators who attack the officers. You can absolutely debate immigration policy — that’s legitimate. But to call trained professionals rash or violent when they are put in harm’s way by someone trying to evade lawful arrest by assaulting agents isn’t criticism — it’s denial of reality and a dismissal of public safety.

Support for ICE and law enforcement matters. These officers are out there executing lawful orders and trying to protect communities. When someone tries to use a vehicle as a weapon in an arrest situation, it’s not just an inconvenience — it’s life-threatening. Responding to that threat head-on is not only justified, it’s necessary.

If you agree full context matters more than clickbait headlines — and law enforcement deserves respect when they act to keep people safe — hit Like, Subscribe, and ring. Then tell me in the comments: How do you think media coverage should change to better reflect dangerous situations like this?
