Why Is Florida Legislating Speech...AGAIN???

Florida’s HB 31 and SB 1106 would ban the term “West Bank” in state documents and require agencies and schools to use “Judea and Samaria” instead.

For years, conservatives have pushed back against things like DEI that compels speech and forced pronouns. Now we’re seeing bills in very red states that use the same mechanism, just with a different worldview. That raises real free‑speech concerns.

Since 10/7, states across the country have introduced symbolic foreign‑policy bills like this one. Arkansas passed a similar law in 2025, and many lawmakers recently traveled to Israel for the “50 States, 1 Israel” initiative. I’m not assigning motives, but the pattern is worth examining.

So in this video, let's talk about:
What are we doing here?
Is this consistent with the First Amendment values we say we believe in?
And does this serve the people of Florida?
