In the 1943 Quebec Agreement Canada and the United Kingdom were contributing partners, as they supplied scientists and technicians for the Manhattan Project. The three nations agreed to secrecy, and not even the USSR was informed. This agreement was revised in the 1944 Hyde Park Agreement signed by Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt. Following the war President Harry S. Truman, far less trusting of the Soviets than his predecessor Frankin D. Roosevelt (see our videos on him) wanted greater security. Written and Hosted by Colin D. Heaton. Forgotten History is a 10th Legion Pictures Production.
